Visualization of EPC

There are 18 years of data available from 2001 - 2018. Consequently, for a specific day of the year 18 past observations can be extracted. For the EPC +/- 5 days around the considered day are additionally included. This results in an ensemble of 18*(2*5+1) = 198 member.

An example of a graphical representation of the EPC, generated under EPC World and EPC Cities is displayed and explained below:

The left panel shows the percentage of rain and no rain events in the EPC ensemble by using a thresholds of 0.2 mm. The right panel exclusively considers rain events and generates a histogram based on this subset of the EPC ensemble.
